Conserve Italia, a sustainable industry three times over

The industry works with dedication and commitment, bringing raw ingredients to our shelves, and those involved in the chain which enables this process are aware of the great challenges they face. As our PMIheroes know well, it is vital to follow the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development Goals.

Conserve Italia is a leading company in the food processing sector, operating in both Italy and Europe with brands such as Valfrutta, Yoga, Cirio, Derby and Jolly Colombani, four of which are well-established names in the Italian agri-food industry.
The business is supplied by over 14,000 farmers and 40 cooperatives that all work the land: Conserve Italia’s most valuable asset and so one that requires careful protection.

This requirement mainly translates into the use of methods related to precision agriculture, and constant monitoring of their environmental impacts. An optimal use of water, reductions in the application of fertilisers, reuse of production waste, and limiting waste to promote a circular economy; these are just some of the actions put in place to make the entire supply chain more sustainable. Conserve Italia focuses on sustainability in all its processes and relationships, from harvesting to production and transport, and respect for the players involved.

Our focus on sustainability should not only be on the environment, but also on that form of sustainability that combines social sustainability with fair economic sustainability.
