Global Eco: Innovation and Sustainability with leasing by Banca Ifis

A young and dynamic company, founded in 2010 by professionals with over twenty years of experience in the fields of ecology and urban and environmental hygiene, committed to safeguard the local environment and promote recycling—as described by Federico Gallon, CEO of Global Eco.

Global Eco is a company based in Padua that has grown and established itself in the waste management sector. It is a solid enterprise with 15 employees engaged in various activities related to the industry: from selling equipment to plastic sorting, working with public bodies and Italian companies.

The company specialises in purchasing waste management vehicles from leading companies in the sector and reselling them to local customers, mainly public entities. In addition, it exclusively imports smart recycling bins from Spain, which allow citizens to dispose of waste using an electronic badge, thus optimising the waste sorting process. Moreover, Global Eco operates a specialised plastic cleaning plant, located in Affi (VR), where plastic waste is sorted and purified of foreign elements such as aluminium and iron. Approximately 2,000 tonnes of plastic waste are processed each month.

How did you come to know Banca Ifis and how did it help you with leasing?

Banca Ifis has played a crucial role in our growth journey, particularly through the leasing solutions it offers. Leasing has been essential to our business: thanks to vehicle and equipment leasing solutions, we have been competitive from day one.

Currently, we have signed about 20 leasing contracts with Banca Ifis, but for us, this is a “work in progress”, given our ambitious expansion plan to meet the growing demand in the waste management sector. Being able to rely on flexible leasing solutions allowed us to invest in modern and functional equipment without affecting our liquidity—a key aspect in a sector that requires constant investment in innovation.

Another key aspect has been Banca Ifis’ ability to establish genuine human relationships. The relationship we have built with Banca Ifis over the past 15 years has become a true asset. The bank’s specialised staff has always been available and responsive to our needs, helping to strengthen a partnership that has supported the growth of our company.

What are the pillars of your company in terms of sustainability and innovation?

Global Eco is strongly committed to sustainability and innovation. In our industry, sustainability is an essential value. We are committed to adopting green solutions: we use hybrid vehicles and have installed numerous solar panels on our facilities. Sustainability is a goal that guides every aspect of our business, from choosing materials and technologies that reduce environmental impact to adopting business practices that promote respect for the environment.

We are also adopting innovative solutions, such as using eco-friendly paints in our plants to reduce pollutant emissions and improve air quality and the surrounding environment. These efforts demonstrate our ongoing commitment to improving our ecological footprint by supporting the transition to a greener economy.

What are the next projects in the pipeline?

Global Eco continues to grow, and our current challenge is the expansion of a maintenance centre for equipment supplied via an indirect procurement contract with a rental company. The goal is to create a new company, with Global Eco as the majority shareholder, alongside two companies specialised in the production of waste management machinery, thereby expanding our offer from machinery supply to after-sales support and maintenance services.
