Roberta Gobbi

Independent Director

Born in Milan in 1962.

She graduated in Mathematics with specialisation in applications from the University of Milan and has gained considerable professional knowledge of the Italian banking sector. Her work has centred on innovations in payment systems and IT systems, and on the digitisation of banking services, with a particular focus on the world of FinTech. She is currently a senior advisor on ICT innovations in the banking sector. She was Chief Commercial Officer for the Digital Hub of Step, and previously worked for over 15 years at SIA S.p.A. (now NEXI S.p.A.), holding posts in Business Development and the Marketing of banking services. In recent years, she has served as a Director for Mercato Italia, and advisor to several companies in the SIA Group, including SIApay, the group’s payment institution.
