Antonella Malinconico

Director

Antonella Malinconico has been a member of Banca Ifis’s Board of Directors since 2016.

A Full Professor of Economics of Financial Intermediaries at the University of Sannio, she graduated in Economics and Business at “Federico II” University of Naples, where she obtained a PhD in Financial Sciences for Business.

She served as Regent Director of the Bank of Italy – Naples Branch and was an independent member of the Boards of Directors of Banca Antonio Capasso S.p.A., IFIS NPL S.p.A., Revalea S.p.A. and ADISURC.

She advises leading banking institutions, issues fairness opinions on extraordinary transactions and is responsible for specialised training for managers and industry professionals.

Her academic and professional activity focuses on the evolving dynamics of the banking and financial system, with a particular focus on risk management, the management of impaired loans (Npls), prudential supervision, corporate governance and the relationship between banks and companies. She also works on corporate finance, with a focus on the financial sustainability of SMEs, creditworthiness analysis, financing innovation and the relationship between business strategy and financial structure.

She has authored numerous studies and scientific publications and coordinates co-funded research projects on the topics of digital transition and fintech.
