The impact of new technology is leading a transformation of the entire financial sector towards complete digitisation. The transition from traditional operator to a fully-fledged Digital Company requires new skills: for this reason, the main stakeholders in this process are not only the banking and financial world, but also the technological and academic world.

Each of these spheres has a different role within the Fintech Revolution, but their interaction is crucial for technology to allow development of new business models. All this will be discussed on Wednesday 11 October during the event The Digital Transformation of the Financial System, an invitation-only event to be held at Palazzo Parigi in Milan. A representative from each of these three worlds will be taking part in the meeting: Giovanni Bossi, Banca IFIS’s C.E.O.; Alessandro Fracassi, MutuiOnline Group’s C.E.O.; Gianmario Verona, Rector of the Bocconi University of Milan. Chairing the round table will be Alessandro Braga, Head of Innovation & Technology Hub at The European House-Ambrosetti.

The meeting on 11 October is part of a journey, introduced by Banca IFIS and The European House Ambrosetti, towards digital revolution in financial services. This journey is made up of 3 meetings, between October 2017 and February 2018, organised to analyse Fintech’s scenario in Italy and to deepen understanding of the scenarios that will arise in the future as a result of combining finance with technology. Through this journey – whose point of arrival will be the Fintechnology Forum in April 2018 – Banca IFIS will promote an initiative aimed at launching a high profile thinking centre on the Fintech theme, around which to aggregate key operators and policy makers over time.
