‘Sostegni bis’ decree

Financial support measures for SMEs affected by the Covid-19 epidemic

On 26 May 2021, Decree Law no. 73 of 25 May 2021 (the ‘Sostegni bis’ decree), which in art. 16 envisaged the possibility for companies already entitled to the moratorium under art. 56, paragraph 2, of Decree Law no. 18 of 17 March 2020 (the ‘Cura Italia’ decree) on the date of entry into force of the ‘Sostegni bis’ decree, to request, by 15 June 2021, an extension from the Bank until 31 December 2021:

  1. concerning the limitation on the revocation of credit lines, granted under art. 56, paragraph 2, lett. a), of the ‘Cura Italia’ decree;
  2. the suspension of the payment deadline for non-instalment loans, granted under art. 56, paragraph 2, lett. b), of the ‘Cura Italia’ decree, only in relation to the principal;
  3. the suspension of loan instalments, granted under art. 56, paragraph 2, lett. c), of the ‘Cura Italia’ decree, only in relation to the principal.

 

If the companies already entitled to the support measures under art. 56, paragraph 2, of the ‘Cura Italia’ decree decide not to request the extension pursuant to the ‘Sostegni bis’ decree, as of 1 July 2021:

  1. the limitation on the revocation of credit lines granted will no longer apply;
  2. the suspension of the payment deadline for non-instalment loans granted will no longer apply, with the resulting obligation for the Customer to pay back the amount due;
  3. the repayment of the loan instalments will resume following the granted suspension of instalments.

Request for an extension up to 31 December 2021

  • If companies already entitled to the support measures provided for by art. 56, paragraph 2, of the ‘Cura Italia’ decree intend to request the extension of the moratorium until 31 December 2021, they must send to the Bank, by certified e-mail to the addresses indicated below, a duly filled in and dated request with a digital or handwritten signature, no later than 15 June 2021, attaching a copy of a valid identity document.

Requirements for applicants

In order to benefit from the extension of these support measures, the applicant must have, as of 26 May 2021 (date of entry into force of the ‘Sostegni bis’ decree), the same credit line for which they are requesting the extension.

How to Apply

The company must inform the Bank that it wants to take advantage of the financial support measures for SMEs, no later than 15 June 2021, completing one of the following forms based on the type of product:

The form must be:

  • Compiled in all its parts;
  • Bear a digital or handwritten signature of the subject with the necessary legal representation powers of the company;
  • Sent via certified e-mail to the addresses indicated below.
  • For the Opening of Credit, Loans on Credit Advances, Non-Instalment Loans, Mortgages, Loans for repayment of instalments: moratoriapmi@bancaifis.legalmail.it
  • For Leasings: moratoria@bancaifis.legalmail.it

Average response time
The average time estimated by the Bank for processing an application for a suspension is 3.78 working days from receipt of the communication (data recorded as of 28/05/2021 and subject to updates).

Banca Ifis will send a formal reply to the application to the certified e-mail address provided by the Customer in the form.
